16 Nov 2017 --- Laïta, Europe's eighth largest dairy cooperative company, a subsidiary of Even, is set to inaugurate its high-tech infant formula and premium milk powder production unit in Créhen, Côtes-d'Armor, France.

The new factory, which combines technical and environmental performance, comprises a drying tower with a production capacity of 30,000 tons of powder and a canning unit.

The new plant will sustainably contribute to the processing of the milk Laïta collects from 3,250 farms and to the development of north-west France, by seizing new market opportunities in both France and abroad.

An event to mark the official inauguration of the infant formula and premium milk powder production unit is planned for December 1 and will be by Guy Le Bars, President of Even and Laïta's Boards of Governors, Christian Couilleau, CEO of Even, Christian Griner, CEO of Laïta.

Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Loïg Chesnais-Girard, President of the Regional Council of Brittany, will also be present.

Laïta, a subsidiary of Even, is a dairy cooperative company specialized in the collection, processing and marketing of dairy products. Created in 2009 as an umbrella organization for the dairy activities of Even, Terrena and Triskalia, Laïta processes 1.5 billion liters of milk collected each year from 3,250 farms in north-west France.
