The American Peanut Council (APC) is the trade association which represents all segments of the peanut industry. Members include peanut growers, peanut shellers, brokers, peanut product manufacturers, and suppliers of goods and services to the industry.
Headquartered in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, the APC monitors developments in the domestic and international markets and responds with a diverse array of domestic and international marketing, trade servicing, food safety, research and issues management programs. The APC maintains close working relationships with government agencies, research institutions and related peanut and agricultural trade associations.
21 Jun 2018 --- The EU is hitting back at US steel and aluminum duties with its own list of retaliatory tariffs due to come into force on Friday (June 22). The move will see charges on a range of products including bourbon, cranberries and peanut butter. Referred to as “rebalancing measures,” the EU has adopted a regulation that puts in place the tariffs targeting a list of products worth €2.8 billion (US$3.2 billion).
08 Mar 2018 --- The EU is planning to impose tariffs on orange juice, bourbon, peanut butter and cranberries among other items if the US goes ahead with the levies on steel and aluminum that were announced last week by US president Donald Trump.
29 Apr 2015 --- The Combined Edible Nut Trade Association and the British Peanut Council have formally joined together to form The Nut Association Limited (TNA).
