    02 May 2018 Bug Farm Foods were exhibiting insect-based foods from Pembrokeshire, Wales at Foodex 2018. Dr. Sarah Beynon told FoodIngredientsFirst: “Insect protein is one of the ways that we can eat more sustainably and we want to be at the forefront of this. All of our bugs are freeze-dried and killed ethically at our farm in Wales. We want to prove that they are safe, clean to eat, nutritious and even fit with vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian diets if consumers are concerned about animal welfare and the planet. The edible insect industry is moving forward leaps and bounds; now it’s very much about sustainability, we can’t carry on eating the way that we are and we need to consider sensible approaches for the future of the planet.”
