At Grower Direct Nut Company we process in-shell, shelled and diced walnuts and supply industrial food processors, re-baggers, retailers and produce markets worldwide.

When you choose Grower Direct Nut brand walnuts, you can be assured they are grown, processed, packed and shipped with care. Walnuts should be stored in low moisture (55 to 65 percent relative humidity), and low temperature (32–38ºF or 0–3.3 degreesºC) conditions to ensure maximum shelf life and freshness and kept in an odor free environment.
We offer over 60 different shelled products that meet and exceed standard industry specifications. We also supply customized products to meet our customer’s unique specifications.
Walnuts are generally packed for shipment in corrugated boxes with polylined bags. Depending on the product’s size, the weight will range from 22lbs, (10 kg) to 30lbs (13.60 kg). Smaller sized packaging may also be available upon request. We also offer add-on services such as nitrogen flush vacuum pack, pasteurization, among others.

16 Jul 2020 --- Two years ago, Belgian producer of chicory and pea ingredients Cosucra estimated the North American plant-based market to be the largest in the world. Tapping into this market potential, Cosucra is highlighting three of its pea protein ingredients at SHIFT20: Pisane pea protein, Swelite pea cell-wall fiber and Nastar pea starch. Frank Truong outlines pea's strong nutritional profile, technical performance and sustainability credentials, as well as naming successes that its pea-based ingredients have had so far in North America.
02 Aug 2019 --- Cosucra continues to strengthen its position in the North American market through their pea protein expansion. At IFT 2019, the company presented a vegetarian plant-based muffuletta slider [a New Orleans classic] containing their Swelite, Pisane M9 and Swelite ingredients as a system. A dairy alternative beverage containing a blend of almond milk and pea protein was also presented, while a chocolate oatmeal gluten-free cookie was another highlight. “Our US-based subsidiary Cosucra Inc. was created about one year ago because demand for plant-based protein is forecast to grow significantly. In the last 12 months, we have positioned our strategy which goes beyond health & nutrition and increasingly looks at the food & beverage business,” Frank Truong at Cosucra says.
15 Mar 2018 --- Silicon Valley food start-up, JUST, Inc. is an innovator in the plant-based foods space. Formerly known as Hampton Creek, the company is probably best known for its vegan mayonnaise and early work into the cultured meat space. Now, the company is on a mission to help soften the blow of malnutrition in West Africa. Power Gari is a fortified cassava porridge, which sourced locally by small-scale farmers in Liberia. It is relatively cheap to produce and popular with consumers. It can also be tailored to the exact dietary needs of the market in which it is being sold. FoodIngredientsFirst spoke to Taylor Quinn, Director of Emerging Markets at Just, who is spearheading the program in Liberia.
23 Oct 2016 --- Nestlé chief executive Paul Bulcke stated that Brexit needed to take “shape” and “form” before the food giant would make any decision on its investment in the UK while saying the likelihood of a pricing spat would be down to individual markets. Nestlé cut its forecast for the year, saying that its full-year rise in sales would now be 3.5 percent, down from its previous forecast of 4.2 percent, amid price deflation in Europe and the US and a slowdown in growth in emerging markets. Other companies mentioned are Corbion, Chaucer, ADM and Danone.
