Nordic Sugar is one of Europe’s leading sugar producers offering a wide range of products for the food and beverage industry. More than simply producing sugar, they aim to provide added value in the form of service logistics, technical support and assistance in product development.
Sharing their know-how as well as providing technical and development support are central elements in their customer service. They produce sugars tailor-made for specific industries: including bakery, confectionary, beverages, jam & preservatives, ice cream & dairy.
As part of a new joint venture, Nordic Sugar can now offer the sweetener stevia. Alone or in blends with sugar, stevia provides an excellent solution for reduced-calorie sweetening. Stevia is a natural sweetener which is up to 300 times sweeter than sugar and has no calories.
Products / Markets
Fibrex®, or sugar beet fibre, is a natural product made from sugar beet after the sugar has been extracted. This highly functional dietary fibre has a unique composition and excellent characteristics that make it a much appreciated and useful ingredient in baking, meat and other food applications. Fibrex has a water-holding capacity of 3-4 times its own weight. As a concentrated dietary fibre with an optimum ratio of soluble and insoluble fibres, Fibrex® also has good potential in health applications. Different fractions are available for optimum results.
